"Gracie"

I don't do a lot of pet portraits normally. Today I had to make an exception. A co-wprker brought in his 9 week old puppy, Gracie. This was taken shoutly after her mid morning nap.

"The Eyes Have It"

It's funny how time can get away from you sometimes. It's been awhile since high school for me and I have lost touch with all but maybe 5 of my high school friends. But thanks to the internet and Facebook (free advertisement) I connected with a friend I haven't seen in 24 years.

This precious little girl was patiently waiting for the wedding to start for my old friend. Captivated and occupied by her mothers cellular phone. I captured this image just a short while before the ceremony. These little glimpses into peoples lives make it wort it to me to be a photographer... albeit a part time shooter.

Be careful out there sweetie and watch your texts! They can add up quickly.

"Infield"

I took this shot during a coaches vs umpire discussion over the team we were playing. I was talking to a parent from the other team when I hear "Courtney's dad!" This is the result of them hamming it up.

We won this game. The outcome of the one that is currently being played (at the time of this post) is uncertain. I am home for a few minuted before a wedding I am participating in at 4:00.

"The Docks"

Marina at East Beach.

"After the Rain"

I have gotten out of the habit of explaining my photographs to you all. This afternoon as I was driving home for work, I had already written the weekend off to rain. The clouds were thick and the lighting and thunder was in full swing. I love listening to thunder and watching the rain and I was somewhat disappointed that it dissipated and the sun started shining again.

We decided to go you to dinner in East Beach tonight and sit on the upper deck of our favorite hangout and I was captivated by the sunset rolling in. I am not usually the "sunset" photographer... but this one was amazing. I just wish the shot did it justice.

"Domicile"

This house is well over 200 years old and sits as patriarch on this broad field. The Nottinghams have owned this house for generations and it has been passed down through the family since before the Civil War. I discovered this house through t a friend named Mike and I went to take this photograph on a scouting trip. My model and the days companion was anxious like I was to get out of the truck and shoot a pictorial on the spot.

I have had 2 conversations with Mrs. Nottingham about this home and the excitement in her voice as she describes the history is captivating. I can't wait to go back in a couple weeks to take some time and dozens of images of this place.
